His Holiness Pope Tawadros II, Pope of Alexandria and Patriarch of the See of St. Mark, reassured Copts regarding his health, as he is currently at the St. Antonius [Anthony] Monastery in Vienna, Austria, running medical test and examinations, and physiotherapy following his suffering severe back pains.
His Holiness told the St. Mark’s Coptic Channel on Saturday: “We thank the Lord, Whose Name has been glorified, and I spent a beneficial recuperation period, in terms of physiotheraphy and medication, along with rest from my usual tiring schedule. My diagnosis is severe exhaustion, perhaps due to my work and ministry, and thankfully ten days later things improved, the pain subsided, and I am expected to carry out some duties ovr the next few days. May the Lord assist me in fulfilling these.”
