Principles – Endings, beginnings, enhancements – 27/12/2014

“2015”, a new year is to begin in few days. Many happy returns, may God grant Egypt and all the Arab countries peace and joy. With the approaching of a new year, one should take some time to reflect on his life and plan for his future.
Here, dear reader, few resolutions for the New Year.
Make the New Year a year of endings. End all the bad habits you practice. Replace them by good habits that energize you to improve the quality of your practical and personal life. Each one of us holds a weakness so make the New Year a chance to turn your points of weakness to strength.
Make the New Year, a year of new beginnings. Make a list of the goals you wish to achieve, but you forgot about or had no time to do. You can take a course or a training to develop your personal skills. As it is said that the first investment you should make is in your time, spend it in learning and training to improve your abilities. Increase your giving and offer support to your family, neighbors and whoever meets you. At work, increase your effort, patience and enhance your performance that will in turn enhance your situation.
Offer more love, forgiveness to make your family and those who meet with you happy, thus enhancing communication between different members of the society.
Adopt a positive attitude, don’t shut yourself up and surrender to sadness and pain of the past. You can consider what you have learned in the past as life lessons for the present. Have trust and faith in God who holds your future in His Gracious Hands. Don’t let your negative emotions affect your mind. Don’t adopt a narrow-minded attitude, nevertheless try to broaden your mind o accept different ideas and enhance your intellectual and creative talents.
Let it be a year of hope, it is so hard that you experience defeat and depression; if you are adopting hopeful perspectives. Don’t let depression sneak to your life. They say, start over a new goal and leave those old goals that you weren’t able to achieve behind. If you kept trying to achieve impossible goals, you would resemble a person who keeps hitting a closed door and he has no key. However, he may find that he has keys of other doors. Realizing your potential would make you a distinguished person.” Hope is a window that no matter how small it is will let you face wide paths of life. When tribulations increase, raise your head to the sky and smile saying “I would never fear anything in this world as long God, the Pantocrator and Philanthropic”
Have a happy New Year, God save Egypt and protect her from evil.
