Principles – Success and Ambition 10 – Together1 – 5/7/2014

“Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much” Those inspiring words were said by Helen Keller who made miraculous achievements astounding the world. We can learn from her life that one of the secrets to success is working in a team. The word “Team” holds the initials of the phrase “Together Everyone Achieves More”. This is the golden rule to create achievements. Michael Jordan the most famous basket ball player who achieved many victories says, “Talent wins games, but teamwork and intelligence wins championships.” Thus we should keep in mind that once we want to achieve success, we may work individually thanks to the talents God gifted us with. However, together we are capable of achieving miracles. Collaboration helps us to make a great use of all the available skills and experiences. No matter how much training or knowledge a person has, he would never attain the whole knowledge and skills of all the members of the team. When persons work together, there would be a complete cluster of unusual talents that leads to collaboration to achieve unusual performance destined to meet success.
This is what Henry Ford, the founder of the Ford Motor Company, tackles when he said “Coming together is a beginning; keeping together is progress; working together is success.”
Team work alleviates the burden of a mission, because all the members of the team are participating in doing it. It doubles the success of each individual in comparison with his working individually. It also saves time and effort, yet gives the best results. It needs flexibility and ability to accept the different others. Don’t turn your disagreement with others into a personal animosity. It would lead to a real lose as it would turn the intentions of the team members from working for the sake of success to working for the sake of proving who is right amid a lot of conflicts which eventually lead to a real defeat.
