Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Mohamed Diaa Zain El Abidin, President of Ain Shams University, and Prof. Dr. Rami Maher Ghali, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, H.G. Anba Ermia, General Bishop and Head of the Coptic Orthodox Cultural Center and Assistant Secretary-General of the Egyptian Family House, was honored and presented with the “Students for Egypt” shield in recognition of his national and societal contributions and his efforts in promoting the values of citizenship and national unity.
The honor took place during a visit by a delegation from “Students for Egypt” and the Student Union of Ain Shams University to the Coptic Orthodox Cultural Center – St. Mark’s Cathedral in Abbasiya, to congratulate H.G. Anba Ermia on the occasion of Christmas, wishing that God may return it to Egypt and its people with goodness, peace, and love.
The University and its Education and Student Affairs sector affirmed their commitment to strengthening ties of cooperation and understanding with church leaders and civil society, contributing to building a cohesive society founded on respect, love, and national solidarity.
For his part, H.G. Anba Ermia expressed his sincere gratitude and appreciation to the University leadership and the students of “Students for Egypt,” praising the national role the university and its students play in serving the community and fostering brotherhood and unity among the Egyptian people, while always affirming the University’s leading position and contributions to nation-building.
