On Tuesday evening, February 17, 2026, His Grace Bishop Anba Ermia, General Bishop and Head of the Coptic Orthodox Cultural Center, participated in the Egyptian Dar Al-Ifta’s celebration to announce the result of the Ramadan crescent sighting for 2026.
This event is one of the most significant annual occasions, during which the start of Ramadan is announced based on the results of the crescent sighting. It is attended by high-ranking religious figures from various faiths and sects.
