Fr. Rafiq Jreish, Press Secretary of the Catholic Church, has confirmed that non-monetary assistance gathered for the refugees of Iraq will be sent by private jet this week, after completing necessary procedures.
Fr. Jereish explained the assistance comprises medication, clothing, children’s milk formula, dried foods and other living necessities. He also pointed out that this is the first plane to be sent out by Egyptian Churches, in an initiative suggested by the Caledonian Diocese, namely to send a rescue convoy for the refugees, clarifying that many of the church congregations expressed their wish to assist refugees and the desolate from their homeland and houses.
