Karim Ghattas Andraus St. Mark Church in Alexandria martyr funeral in St. Mina monastery

The funeral of the martyr “Karim Ghattas Andraus Shehata” was held on Tuesday, 18 April 2017, at St. Mina monastery in Mariout, the eighth martyr of Palm Sunday bombing of St. Mark Cathedral.

The martyr was injured by a shrapnel in the brain and underwent surgery at the military hospital. He remained in the intensive care in the hospital, but the will of God wanted him to join the clutches of martyrs of the church.

The funeral prayer was held by their eminences Anba Kyrillos Ava Mina, abbot of the monastery, a number of bishops, fr. Abram Emil the secretary of the Alexandria priests’ council, priests of Alexandria and monks, and the body was buried in the cemetery of martyrs in the monastery.
