Pope Tawadros II, Pope of Alexandria and Patriarch of the See of St. Mark, headed on Tuesday morning the High Mass of the Transfiguration Feast at the St. Mary’s Church in Alexandria, and delivering the homily of Mass on “How to Live on Earth with Your Heart in Heaven”. In it, he tackled:
“This feast is a glimpse of heaven, as the Lord Jesus Christ appeared on Jebel Tabour, accompanied by Moses the Prophet, as representative of the Law”, and “Elijah the Prophet” as representative of prophets, also selecting three disciples, namely St. Peter, a symbol of faith, St. James, a symbol of holy struggle, whereas St. John represents love, as if to say God intended to say that without faith, struggle and love, we cannot receive a glimpse of heaven.”
