His Holiness Patriarch Ignatius Aphrem II has convened with priests of the Syriac [Syrian] Orthodox Diocese of Mosul, who are present with the evicted refugees in the region of Kurdistan in the presence of Their Graces Mar Nicodemus Daoud Sharaf, Metropolitan of Al-Mosul and its affiliates, and Mar Dionysius Jan, Manager of the Patriarchal Administrative Bureau in Damascus.
His Holiness delivered an emotive fatherly speech to direct and encourage the priests to continue their humanitarian work. He investigated with them the tragic situations in Mosul and the plains of Nineveh, hearing their queries and directing them to the suggested solutions befitting a safe exit from this crisis.
His Holiness extended his gratitude to His Eminence the Metropolitan Daoud and the priests for their presence, entreating the Lord to reinforce them with strength and increase their hope and faith.
