Last article tackled the attempts made to stir up tempests against the goals of the Egyptian Family House, and against the work it carries out for keeping peace of the nation and preserving the unity of its fabric; including the attempt to confuse “fraternity” and “mixing”, in light of those ideas advocating mixing between Judaism, Christianity and Islam under one umbrella called the Abrahamic religion. The article made it clear that these ideas have no purpose but to eliminate every religious spirit, to cut off and bury the idea of religions.
The message of the Egyptian Family House, which has been launched for the sake of Egypt and to protect the Egyptians from being trapped into strife and divisions that have struck several countries, is still working on serving the country and the citizens. At the onset of new ten years, the Egyptian Family House sets before its eyes the relentless work carried out by the state to build the homeland and realize the vision “The New Republic: Egypt 2030”, this has urged the officials of the Egyptian Family House set a new long-term pivotal plan, for the upcoming ten years, based on the following:
- Working to complete construction and development in society, in accordance with the human-building strategy launched by the President in “Decent Life” initiative, besides paying attention to the developmental role of the villages of Egypt, through the convoys of the youth of the Egyptian Family House.
- Consolidating the unity of the societal fabric, with activities that seek to advance community thought and culture, through work in all of Egypt’s villages, centers and governorates.
- Activating and supporting the role of the Egyptian Family House branches in the governorates; to be able to support the Egyptian family, and to confront and treat ideas that may negatively impact our identity, customs and established traditions.
- Deepening the role of people of special determination and integrating them into society with the support of many of them through the Egyptian Family House, with support for literacy and cultural awareness projects.
- Working to encourage the role of young people and give them opportunities in the first rows of the Egyptian Family House; to apply smart ideas that cope with the spirit of the age and the positive use of modern technologies.
His Holiness Pope Tawadros II presented an original approach to raise awareness and build people for the next ten years, centered upon love, in five basic elements: love of God, love of nature and the environment, which is our greatest home, man’s love for his fellow human being regardless any consideration, love of the homeland in which we live, the love of eternity that we long to be in.
In the midst of the celebrations, we cannot ignore mentioning a number of figures who played deep national roles in establishing the Egyptian Family House and pushing its work for the sake of our country. Rather, they had the deepest impact in the history of Egypt in general. Our homeland cannot forget His HolinessPope Shenouda III, who lived maintaining love of Egypt, echoing his national anthem, which became a slogan for the Egyptians: “Egypt is not a homeland in which we live, but a homeland which lives in us”. Among the characters who had a distinguished role in The Egyptian Family House is Prof. Dr. Mahmoud HamdiZaqzouq, the former Minister of Awqaf, the former Secretary General of the Egyptian Family House, whose reign witnessed the opening of branches of the Egyptian Family House, the great activity of its committees, and numerous meetings between sheikhs and priests. Also, we cannot ignore the efforts exerted by Prof. Dr. Mahmoud Azab, advisor to the Grand Imam, the former general coordinator of the Egyptian Family House, who was interested in the culture of dialogue, and had a prominent role in the Egyptian Family House and opened branches for it in a number of Egyptian governorates. Mr. Osama EzzatHabib Al-Abd cannot be forgotten either, as he made a great effort in drafting the list of TheEgyptian Family House, in addition to his permanent work and activity there.
We ask God to crown all the work for our country with success, keep it and protect it from all evil. And… stories of beautiful Egypt never end!
