I am extending felicitations to all the Egyptians on the ninth anniversary of the “June 30 Revolution,” in which all Egyptians came out together, declaring their desire to cross that dangerous curve that the country was about to slip into. People came out in hordes with unity that brought to mind the glorious Egypt revolutions led by the people, such as the 1919 revolution.
TheJuly 23 Revolution -we are celebrating its seventieth anniversary soon- was led by the army and people supported it as well asthe steps of its leaders, while the June 30 Revolution was staged by all classes of people, while the army supported it, declaring advocating the will of the people above any personal or collective interest, at a critical stage of the contemporary history of Egypt.
Since the army declared supporting the white revolution of the people, work under the leadership of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisihas never ceased to build Egypt and restore its leading roleamong the countries of the world, which had been assumed since the dawn of history.
Throughout the history of peoples and nations, there are always stances taken for the purpose of change and achieving progress towards a better life and a bright future for the people of the country. Since June 30 Revolution, Egypt has witnessed steady steps taken towards realizing the aspirations of a people that has known nothing but struggle throughout history, for a country that has been known among nations only with pioneering and civilization. Perhaps the most important among these ambitions is laying foundations for a new republic, based on upholding values of freedom, human dignity and social justice among the people of the same nation.
The new republic, for which all efforts work to aspire, is a country that includes all with no discrimination. All people are Egyptians.
It is the republic of peace and safety. As Mr. President said: “Let me tell you this: this is our country, it shall include us all” . A nation’s power stems from the strong union among its people. Everyone shall live in harmony and cohesion. Everyone shall work together to build their country and restore its leadership among the nations, for a future full of good for us and our children. This is what the President has repeatedly emphasized on, as he said: “The path of the new republic, which includes all of us, without discrimination, in which we coexistsafely and peacefully. The republic of dream and hope, the republic of science and work, a capable, not brute republic, peaceful not submissive… this is the republic we are building together. We can overcome any challengeor difficulties only if we always keep one united heart, all of us together.”
The first concern in the new republic is human; therefore, there is a great interest in developing human’s life; a number of initiatives were being launched aiming at establishing a dignified life, including housing and health care. Among these initiatives was “HayahKareema” (A Dignified Life) that aims to build the Egyptian human being and bring about comprehensive development to eliminate poverty and alleviate the burdens of the citizens, especially in the neediest areas. Also, the initiative of “100 Million Seha” (100 Million Healthy)aims to early detect breast tumors for nearly 28 million women across the republic governorates by examining them and providing them with treatment for free. It also includes awareness of reproductive health, family planning, healthy living, and detection of non-communicable diseases such as diabetes and blood pressure.
In addition to all of this, huge projects are being launched by the state, it seeks to carry them out, such as the one and a half million acre project, which aims to reclaim the desert, cultivate it, and then repopulate it, so that the population can be housed on one hand, and the citizens’ needs for food commodities are met on the other.
The new republic also pays special attention to the youth, who are the pillarof the future with all its hopes of progress. Hence, the Union of Youth of the New Republic was established.
We plead for God to bless our country Egypt, grant it good and peace, and protect it from all evil. And… stories about beautiful Egypt never end!
