Received by Dr. Ibrahim Saber, Governor of Cairo, at his office at the Governorate headquarters, a delegation from the Egyptian Family House to offer congratulations on the occasion of Eid al-Adha, with the participation of Bishop Ermia, General Bishop and Head of the Coptic Orthodox Cultural Center and Assistant Secretary-General of the Egyptian Family House.
The delegation also included Professor Dr. Mostafa Abdel Ghani, Secretary-General of the Egyptian Family House and Vice President of Al-Azhar University, Father Moussa Tamer, priest of the Church of the Resurrection at the Center and member of the Religious Discourse Committee, Major General Sami Sidhom, member of the Follow-up Committee, and Deacon Kozman El-Qommos from the secretariat.
During the meeting, Bishop Ermia emphasized the importance of promoting values of love and peaceful coexistence among all citizens, noting the role of the Egyptian Family House in confronting extremist ideas and correcting misconceptions through awareness activities and community seminars.
For his part, the Governor of Cairo praised the role played by the Egyptian Family House in supporting social stability and strengthening the values of citizenship, stressing the importance of continued cooperation between religious and community institutions, as well as spreading a culture of peace and countering destructive ideas through seminars and community activities organized by the House.
The Governor also underlined the importance of continuing cooperation between religious and community institutions to support social stability and consolidate the values of citizenship, commending the effective role of Bishop Ermia and the Egyptian Family House in strengthening the unity of the national fabric.
