His Grace Bishop Ermia, General Bishop and President of the Coptic Orthodox Cultural Center, attended on Sunday evening, May 24, 2026, at 7:00 PM, the concert of the Choir of the Church of the Virgin Mary in Omdurman, titled “Do Not Be Afraid,” which was held at the Anba Reweis Theater at St. Mark’s Coptic Orthodox Cathedral in Abbassia. The event was attended by His Grace Bishop Sarabamon, Metropolitan of Atbara, Omdurman, and Northern Sudan, and His Grace Bishop Elia, Bishop of Khartoum and South Sudan.
The concert also featured a distinguished participation by the “Voice of the Shepherd” team, which presented a variety of hymns and spiritual performances amid an atmosphere filled with joy, praise, and enthusiastic interaction from the audience.
The “Voice of the Shepherd” team performed the Sudanese hymn “In His Presence Begins the Journey,” along with the poem “O My God, Your Love Is the Deepest Love.” Father Fam Isaiah also delivered a spiritual message during the event, speaking about the importance of trusting in God and living without fear.
The Choir of the Church of the Virgin Mary in Omdurman also presented several notable hymns, including “What Shall We Fear?!”, “You Broke and Loosened My Chains,” a medley of hymns dedicated to the Virgin Mary, “As Long as Our Hands Are in Yours,” and the Sudanese hymn “With Jesus I Am Not Afraid.”
Dr. Faisal Fouad also participated with the hymn “Lord of Life, Giver of Life.”
At the conclusion of the concert, His Grace Bishop Sarabamon delivered a speech expressing his appreciation for the spiritual and artistic ministry offered by the choir.
The evening concluded with a collective hymn titled “Praise the Lord, All the Earth,” followed by commemorative photos in a joyful atmosphere filled with praise and celebration.
