On the glorious Nativity, His Grace Bishop Ermia, General Bishop and Head of the Coptic Orthodox Cultural Center, laid emphasis on the importance of this occasion as a feast of love and peace, noting that it embodies the values of coexistence and unity among the people of one nation.
In his statements to Radio Nile, His Grace Bishop Ermia extended his heartfelt felicitations to all Egyptians, considering the Nativity a feast of peace that is born in the hearts of everyone, to enhance the values of fraternity and love.
His Grace also praised the efforts of President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi, who sent a telegram of felicitations and came himself to participate in the celebration, as a sponsor of peace and a guardian of the unity of the nation. His Grace Bishop Ermia asserted that the President’s support for the Egyptians, and his preservation of the capabilities of this dear nation, reflect his constant commitment to spreading the values of love and peace among the people.
His Grace Bishop Ermia pointed out that national unity is the pillar on which Egyptians have lived throughout the ages, and that the Church always seeks to consolidate these noble values by enhancing love and harmony among all.
His Grace concluded his speech by stressing that President Al-Sisi’s visit to offer felicitations reflects a clear image of the unity of the Egyptian people, and highlights the importance of love as a basic element for the continuation of the cohesion of the nation.
