The British University in Cairo welcomed on Sunday, March 5, 2017, Anba Ermia head of the Coptic Orthodox Cultural Center, Dr. Sami Sabri, Dean of the Institute of Coptic Studies, Dr. Tharwat Wahid representing the Evangelical School of Theology and Dr. Samuel Rizk Vice Dean of the school at the Egyptian Churches delegation Conference, held at the university under the slogan “one nation, one entity”
The conference emphasis national unity and discussing joint cooperation between the church and educational institutions concerned through scientific research.
The delegation was welcomed by the university president, deans, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, teachers, a number of intellectuals, education and media figures. A visit from a high-level delegation of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif precedence this visit.
At the end of the event, the delegation and a number of figures toured the university and visited the campus, the Central Library, Faculty of Dentistry and University Hospital.
The British university, that it have been one of the first universities that have national duty as it opened its doors to the Christian families of El Arish, denouncing naming Christians residing in Ismailia migrants or displaced, stressing that Egypt are all one nation.
