العربيةEgyptian President Abd Al-Fattah Al-Seesy formed on Saturday the Advisory Council of great scientists and experts of Egypt, including five Copts, out of 15 members of the council, which includes a range of Egyptian scientists from the arenas of Higher Education and Academic Research, Undergraduate Education, Vast Projects, Energy, Agriculture, Geology, Information Technology, Medicine and General Health, Psychological Health, and Economics.
President Al-Seesy convened with the council, in a meeting attended by Dr. Ahmed Zuweil, Dr. Magdy Yacoub, Dr. Nabil Fuad, Dr. Victor Rezqallah, Dr. Mervat Abu Bakr, the Engineer Hany Azer, the Engineer Hany Al-Noqrashy, the Engineer Ibrahim Samak, Dr. Hany Al-Kateb, Dr. Mohammed Al-Bahei Esawy, Dr. Ali Al-Faramawy, Dr. Mohammed Ghoneim and Dr. Ahmed Okasha.
Ambassador Ehab Badawy, presidential spokesman, said, “The President has stated, during the meeting, “All attendees represent the first seed of the council, which will include the most exceptional selection of scientists, and experts of Egypt, who are capable of presenting their strategic vision for the Egyptian nation in the future in every field, ensuring their fulness and harmony to each serve each other and afford each other’s needs, on every economic and social front, including industry, agriculture, technology, academic research, health, education, etc.”
He added “The council will have an effective role in offering technical advice, and we will resort to its opinion regarding the best means to implement national projects being carried out by the state, at the least costs and highest possible quality, on both the practical front, like the Suez Canal Development Project, and the national roads and housing plan, or on the cultural and academic front, relating to reforming religious sermons, refining the media’s message, and improving the quality of education, connecting it to the needs of the employment market.”
Badawy pointed out that “Members of the council expressed their full support for Egypt, intending to work to achieve the aspired development on all fronts, putting a stop to Egyptian intellects emigrating, working to transfer modern technology from outside of Egypt, in parallel to caring for academic research and for Egyptian innovations that are ready to be implemented, and economically viable, indicating that there can also be a role for the council in offering technical advice to the sectors of investment, tax reform and other effective economic sectors.
