We tackled honesty that is represented in man’s loyal and gentle advice .We are going to resume tackling honesty and its aspects that include keeping what he is entrusted on in secret and with care. As God- the Most Honest and Just- would reward the honest accordingly.
Abraham Lincoln says, “You can fool all the people some of the time, and some of the people all the time, but you cannot fool all the people all the time”.
Once upon a time there was a merchant who filed a lawsuit against his neighbor, the camel seller, being deceived by him as he had took goods from the merchant and sold them, yet he didn’t return his money. Furthermore, he denied that he was a camel seller and alleged he was just a merchant passing by the city. The judge was perplexed and couldn’t decide who is right; thus he resorted to a trick, that is, after he had asked them to leave, he called out, “O, Camel Seller”. The camel seller looked back at once. This was how he proved his dishonesty and lying. Accordingly, the adjudication was to imprison the camel seller and to make him repay his neighbor’s money. Maybe discovering deceit is not that simple, however the fact is that dishonest people will lose eventually.
I liked another incident of 4 students who wanted to go to a tourist resort to refresh their minds before the final exams. However, being enchanted by the amazing nature, they overstayed there and missed their first exam. Therefore they decided to seize on an excuse they can tell their college professor to allow them to do the exam on a post date. They told him that during their journey back home, the tire exploded. Had they been at an abandoned place, they had waited till morning. The professor agreed that they do the exam. To their amazement, the questions were as following: which tire was exploded? What was the exact time of the incident? Who was driving at the time of the incident? What was the cost of fixing the tire?
To uncover one’s dishonesty, depend first and foremost on God. He would grant you wisdom and shrewdness that he granted Daniel to discover the dishonesty of the two elders and their false accusation of Susanna the chaste. Daniel asked them separately about the place in which they saw Susanna being intimate with another man. Through their different answers emerged their dishonesty.
God declares the innocence of the honest amid their tribulations and He punishes the dishonest after giving them many a chance to repent. Many a time God supports simple people and uncovers the deceit of the wicked to them. Honesty of man is favored before God and people, while dishonesty is abhorred. In all the ages and situations, honesty outstands and proves to be true treasure of man and the road to people’s trust in him. To be continued….
