They say that you should do good as it is what stays when you go. Benevolence is the ambassador of man before God and others. It lets you gain their love and win heaven as well. You can begin with a small deed then you can gradually turn giving into a lifestyle. One recalls a story of a rich stingy man that one day a poor man asked his help. The rich man told him to go away and threw him a leaf of bread. The man was so happy for that. In that night the man dreamt that he passed out and is called to account before God. He found out that he has never done a good deed save offering the leaf of bread to the poor person. He got up and decided that he would never return anyone who asked his help empty handed. Thus, goodness can start with a small act till it turns into a vast sea of giving. When you practice giving, you would experience other positive feelings like joy and peace. There was a woman who was going shopping for the coming feast when she watched a little boy shivering of cold glimpsing at people in apathetic look. Then the woman stopped and asked if his parents were alive, he told her his father was dead and his mother was sick. The woman decided to help him and she bought him food and clothes. Then she took him home to check on his mother and wish her a merry feast. She left them feeling extremely happy and it was the best feast in her entire life. Goodness is one of the characteristics of God- All Glory to Him- as he is the Gracious and he showers all people with His gifts. God would never forget your good deeds and toiling for others. Many stories indicate that benevolence would never be forgotten even if the benevolent ceases to exist.
Once upon a time there was a humble young man applied for a job in a high-leveled company. He thought that he has a faint chance of earning it as many people who have their own connections have also applied for it. However, after not so many days, he knew that he earned an interview at that company .To his amazement, the manager welcomed him warmly, the young man tried to explain that there is a possible mistake and that he is just a humble person. The manager told him that there was no mistake and that he knew him as his father helped him one day giving him the price of the train’s ticket when he was penniless and advising him to help anyone in need. When the man achieved success and became rich, he searched for the man he once had met many years ago, but he never found him. So, he wanted to help his son in recognition of his father’s favor. Benevolence never dies; it is an everlasting crown over the head of the benevolent. It is a gift from God and to God. As they say, a day passed with no good deeds should not be counted. To be continued…
