Principles – Success and Ambition 8 – Be Ready – 21/6/2014

We spoke of the importance of neglecting any role no matter how important this role is. Great deeds and brilliant achievements are based on unimportant tasks that if not achieved, that would lead to the failure of the mission in general. The secret of the success of any mission lays in performing each role honestly out of each one’s faith in his role. We mentioned that Dr. Robert Scholer in his book “Power of Ideas” says that you have to exert all your efforts to start small and think big. You have to overcome all the obstacles. Invest in your potentials. Be ready to take actions and expect the challenges; however don’t let them handicap your progress. If you are pursuing success, you should try, learn and have faith that you can achieve the impossible. Remember that, successful people don’t retreat and retreaters don’t succeed. It is not about arrogance, but rather persistence.
Success is a continuous readiness for quick performance and decision. It is an adopted mental decision that is interpreted in the form of a behavior. Admiral Porter, the US navy admiral was working with one of the officers ready all the time to do any mission he was asked for. Once he was asked by the admiral about the secret of his quick response intending to promote him. So the officer smiled and answered that he trained himself to be ready whenever he is called to do any task. Even if I am sleeping, I used to get up quickly without complaining to do the requested mission whatever t is.
Commitment is the trait of those who put in their mind and bent on being ready to do their work perfectly all the time. Success is so distant for those who resort to slackening and justifying their mistakes. It is near to all who haste to do their work.
On your path to success, you will face different irritations. Be steadfast while dealing with them. One day a taxi driver was hit by another car. However, the car driver shouted at him, though it was his mistake. The taxi driver was so calm and smiled without saying anything. When he was asked about the reason, he said that some people are holding on too much pain and worry and that made them act irrationally in many situations. So, he didn’t take the car-driver’s insults personally. Whenever you face the same situation, you should do the same and wish your speaker happiness and peace.
Don’t permit those little incidents to handicap you in your success pursuit. In addition you should not deal with others the same way they deal with you as life is short and it should not be wasted in anger. Don’t forget to be grateful for those who treat you kindly and pray for those who mistreat you.
