Faculty of Arts of Ain Shams University held its’ Annual International Conference, under the patronage of Prof. Abdul Wahhab Ezzat, President of Ain Shams University, and Prof. Suzanne Al-Kulini, Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Member of the Supreme Council for Media Organizing and Member of the National Council for Women.
The conference is held this year under the theme “Share … innovate … Go”.
The opening of the Conference was attended by HH Pope Tawadros II, Pope of Alexandria and Patriarch of the see of St. Mark, Prof. Ashraf alBahawihi, Vice president of Al-Azhar University, representing Grand Imam of al-Azhar, Prof. Osama alAzhari, Advisor to the President of the Republic for Religious Affairs, Anba Ibrahim Ishak, Patriarch of Alexandria for the Catholic Copts, HG Bishop Ermia, General Bishop and Head of the Coptic Orthodox Cultural Center, Prof. Abd alNasser Sengab, University Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research, Prof. Fathi alSharqawy, University Vice President for education and student affairs, Prof. Mostafa Mortada, Vice Dean of Faculty of Arts for Education and Student Affairs and Conference Rapporteur, Prof. Abd alNasser Hasssan, Vice Dean for Graduate Studies and Research and Conference Rapporteur, Prof. Tarek Mansour, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environment Development and Conference Rapporteur, Chairman of the Egyptian-European Business Council, a high-level delegation from Al-Azhar and the Church, a number of heads of European and American federations, Commission on Human Rights and the National Council for Women, and some researchers and faculty members from several different countries.
HH Pope Tawadros II، said that youth are the backbone of nations and represent the first defense line against any attacks,
His Holiness expressed his appreciation to the armed forces and the police for their great role in combating terrorism,
He added that the church is working to help the Egyptian youth to participate in the development of the state.
“We need to prepare young leaders having the ability to discuss. persuade and respond to the current needs،” HH the Pope.
HH Pope Tawadros II also urged the Egyptian youth to cast their votes in the upcoming presidential elections scheduled for March.
The two-day conference deals with 6 main axis including; Youth future and their role in Societies building، disabled youth role in the country’s building، youth visions in building the future، the cultural composition of Young people، and National projects.
