Under the patronage and presence of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, the Ministry of Awqaf’s celebration of Laylat al-Qadr for the year 1447 AH was launched. The event was held at the Al-Manara International Conference Center in New Cairo on Monday, March 16, 2026.
The celebration was attended by many prominent figures, including Counselor Hisham Badawy, Speaker of the House of Representatives, Counselor Essam El-Din Fayed, Speaker of the Senate, Dr. Mustafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, General Ashraf Salem Zahir, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and Minister of Defense and Military Production, Dr. Osama Al-Azhari, Minister of Awqaf, along with several ministers and senior state officials.
Bishop Ermia, General Bishop and Head of the Coptic Orthodox Cultural Center, also attended the event with an official participation. He conveyed his congratulations to all Egyptians on the occasion of Laylat al-Qadr, emphasizing the importance of promoting values of cooperation and tolerance among all segments of Egyptian society and strengthening the spirit of unity and love. He wished everyone a joyful and blessed holiday.
