His Grace Bishop Ermia Honors Ideal Mothers at the Coptic Orthodox Cultural Center’s 2026 Celebration

In an atmosphere filled with love and appreciation, the Coptic Orthodox Cultural Center organized its annual celebration honoring Ideal Mothers for the year 2026, on Sunday, March 29, 2026, under the presidency and in the presence of His Grace Bishop Ermia, General Bishop and Head of the Center, who honored 29 mothers representing inspiring models of love, dedication, and sacrifice.

During his speech, His Grace emphasized the greatness of a mother’s love and her vital role in building both the family and society, highlighting her profound influence in raising generations and shaping the future of nations. He also reviewed the history of Mother’s Day worldwide and spoke about its introduction in Egypt by the brothers Ali Amin and Mostafa Amin, founders of Akhbar Al Youm newspaper. His Grace expressed gratitude and appreciation to all mothers for their love, devotion, and tireless care for their families, wishing them continued health and happiness.

His Grace presented certificates of appreciation, flowers, and gifts to the winning Ideal Mothers of 2026. Commemorative photographs were also taken with the honorees and their families in an atmosphere marked by joy, pride, and celebration.

The Coptic Orthodox Cultural Center had previously announced the Ideal Mother competition, which witnessed wide participation, as dozens of applicants submitted touching human stories reflecting honorable examples of Egyptian mothers’ dedication and sacrifices.
