H.G. Anba Ermia, General Bishop and Head of the Coptic Orthodox Cultural Center, participated on Sunday, March 8, 2026, in the annual Servants and Servants Preparation Meeting titled “Learn from Me,” held at the St. George Cathedral. During the meeting, His Grace delivered a spiritual speech titled “New Methods in Lessons.”
In his speech, His Grace explained how the Lord Jesus Christ taught about ministry, emphasizing that true service is based on planting the Word of God in the hearts of the people through diverse and suitable methods for each individual. He also highlighted the importance of presenting content with both simplicity and depth.
His Grace further stressed the importance of living what one teaches, saying, “Practice what you have learned,” noting that the impact of ministry stems first from the servant’s life before his words. He also outlined the features of a successful Word-based ministry, which is built on understanding, application, and genuine communication with those being served.
Additionally, His Grace shared a real-life story illustrating how a child comes to love the Church when they find care and compassion within it. He emphasized the need to deal with everyone with love and patience, especially children and youth, saying: “In your service, do not be disturbed by a mischievous child or an unusual appearance of a young person.”
