His Grace Bishop Anba Ermia attends the golden jubilee celebration of His Grace Bishop Anba Bula at the Tanta Diocese

In an atmosphere filled with love and appreciation, the Tanta Diocese celebrated the golden jubilee marking fifty years since the monastic ordination and priesthood of His Grace Bishop Anba Bula, Metropolitan of Tanta, on the evening of Sunday, May 17, 2026, in the presence of a distinguished group of executive, security, religious, and public leaders in the governorate.

The celebration witnessed the attendance of His Grace Bishop Anba Ermia, General Bishop and Head of the Coptic Orthodox Cultural Center, who participated in the event alongside Major General Dr. Alaa Abdel-Moty, Governor of Gharbia, accompanied by Major General Ashraf Farouk, Head of the National Security Authority in the Central Delta; Professor Dr. Mohamed Hussein, President of Tanta University; Colonel Mohamed Sherif from the National Security Directorate in Gharbia; Colonel Mohamed Yehia, Head of the National Security Branch in Gharbia; Brigadier General Eng. Wael Fathi, Military Advisor to the Governorate; as well as a number of security leaders, a group of metropolitans and bishops, respected sheikhs and imams, members of the House of Representatives and the Senate, many executive, popular, and religious leaders, and several public figures and citizens of the governorate.

During the celebration, the Governor of Gharbia extended his sincere congratulations to His Grace Bishop Anba Bula, affirming that he is considered one of the most prominent religious and national figures in the governorate, due to his fruitful efforts over decades of service in supporting society, promoting the values of love, peace, and tolerance, in addition to his notable national role and active participation in various national issues witnessed by Egypt.

All speakers at the celebration also expressed their deep appreciation and affection for His Grace Bishop Anba Bula, praising his fifty years of spiritual, national, and humanitarian service, and highlighting his wisdom, balance, and sincere dedication, which have left a positive impact on the hearts of the people of the governorate across all groups, affirming that he represents a shining model of national unity and work for the peace and well-being of society.
