On Sunday, 31 January 2016 at St. Bishoy monastery, H.H. Pope Tawadros opened eastern Orthodox and Catholic churches dialogue Standing Committee meeting, which included the Copts, Armenians, Ethiopians, Syriac and Indians.
Following the opening H.H. Pope Tawadros, held a meeting, with the Attendees. And from Monday to Thursday churches will choose topics that will be discussed at the final meeting next Friday.
H.G. Bishop Bishoy metropolitan of Damietta and related areas, Bishop Barnabas from Rome, Bishop Daniel, and the Cardinal Kurd Koch Catholic Church Ecumenical Office director attended the meetings.
Churches will determine final meeting agenda, but the agenda will not include the unification of Resurrection holiday.
The meeting, is the 13th year between the Eastern Orthodox Church and Rome, the first meeting was held in 2004 and hosted by the Coptic Church.
