Video Anba Ermia: Education Committee of Egyptian family house reviewed ministerial education curriculum and has not broached Azhar curriculum

Anba Ermia, General Bishop and Egyptian family house secretary-general Assistant, declared that “Education Committee of the Egyptian family house reviewed the ministerial education curricula from first grade to high school level in a bold and brave way, and  the Committee’s comments were presented to the Ministry of Education, but the committee did not address Azhar curriculum”.

He completed “Religion sometimes is used as a cover to carry out specific and personal purposes, and that Christian religion also was used incorrectly in the Crusades era” asserting that Pope Shenouda III said in one of the meetings that he refuses to say Crusades but said Frankish campaigns, because Christians participated with Muslims in the war against those campaigns and Religion is innocent of any campaigns calling for killing, war and corruption.

He added, “The Grand Imam Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayeb, Sheikh Al-Azhar  wrote two books of religion dialogue for preparatory and secondary level” he added, “that the Grand Imam gave him two books about Islamic culture for preparatory and secondary level prepared by Al-Azhar curriculum development Commission, and the literature is full of topics tackling extremism, terrorism and talking about moral, dialogues, modesty, chastity, honesty, compassion, justice and injustice, and many topics related to the tolerance of Islam. “
