On 25 March 2017, under the patronage of His Holiness Pope Tawadros II the Coptic Orthodox Cultural Center organized a ceremony to honor the ideal mothers and mothers of the abode martyrs.
HG Anba Ermia, General Bishop and head of the Coptic Orthodox Cultural Center, honored the ideal mothers of this year, include mothers of the martyrs of the homeland (the army, the police, Al-Botrosya Church and Al-Arish).
The ceremony was attended by Ambassador Nabila Makram, Minister of State for Migration and Egyptians Abroad, Dr. Maya Morsi, President of the National Council for Women, Major General Refaat Komsan, Adviser to the Prime Minister for Election Affairs, Dr. Naim Saad Zaghlul, Director of Information at the Council of Ministers Information and Decision Support Center, Ambassador Mona Omar Former Minister of Foreign Affairs Member of the National Council for Women, President of the African Center of the British University, and a number of members of the House of Representatives.
Anba Ermia welcomed the attendees I welcome you at your home “the Coptic Orthodox Cultural Center” which is a center that communicates with all Egyptians in all matters and share with you joys and sorrows.
His grace also welcomed all the mothers who came from various cities and villages in Egypt. He pointed out that the ideal mothers that were chose to be honored today are few models from all mothers in Egypt who deserve recognition and appreciation. The mother is the one who make the present and the future, and the hero originator .
After that, speeches of senior audience went on, and poetry were delivered, and then some of the music and national songs were played, and also the mother’s songs.
At the end of the ceremony, Anba Ermia, accompanied by Ambassador Nabila Makram, Minister of State for Migration and Egyptians Affairs abroad, and Engineer Sami Fahmy, member of the Board of Trustees and Advisory Council of the Coptic Orthodox Cultural Center, honored 55 ideal mothers
