His Grace Bishop Isaac, the general bishop and spiritual father of the monastery of St. Macarius of Alexandria in Jabal al-Qalali, departed today at the age of 85 years, after spending nearly 59 years in the monastic life.
The venerable father bishop was born on October 21, 1937, he joined monasticism in the Syriac monastery on January 4, 1964, and was ordained a Khory Episcopos (Assistant Bishop) on June 18, 1978, then he received the rank of Episcopacy on June 1, 2014.
His funeral prayers will be held at St. Mark’s Cathedral in Alexandria, tomorrow, Wednesday, at twelve o’clock noon.
