HG Bishop Ermia participates in “Moses receiving the Ten Commandments” festive for the Ethiopian community in Egypt

HG Bishop Ermia, General Bishop and head of the Coptic Orthodox Cultural Center, participated in “Moses receiving the Ten Commandments” festive held for the Ethiopian community in Egypt on Sunday, July 31, 2016 at the Coptic Orthodox Cultural Center. 

HG Bishop Lucas Bishop of “Satato Houmra” in Ethiopia and Bishop of the Ethiopian community in Egypt and Sudan who is visiting Egypt for the first time since getting this position a who visited Egypt after Pope Tawadros II was ordained as a Patriarch to congratulate him participated in the celebration as well as Their Eminences Bishop Jonas Bishop of “Afar” in Ethiopia and Bishop Beyman Bishop of Nakada and Qus.

And at the festive HG Bishop Ermia presented The Coptic Orthodox Cultural Center shield to HG Bishop Lucas, Bishop of “Satato Houmra” in Ethiopia and Bishop of the Ethiopian community in Egypt and Sudan.

The festive included songs, spiritual speeches, Bible studies, Ethiopian folklore, and a welcome speech from Bishop Ermia in which he spoke about the relationship between the Coptic and Ethiopian churches as the Ethiopian Community attended the festive.

It is worth mentioning that this is the fourth time to held this Ethiopian annual event in Egypt.
